Writing rules for your country of the day essay:
• Do not cite your work. Do not do a cover sheet. Put your name and topic at the top of page 1.
• Submit your document only as a WORD or Word 1997-2003 document. Papers saved in other file formats (such as WORKS or WORDPERFECT) will not be accepted.
• Use 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial only.
• Double-space your paper.
• Insert your name and paper title on the header of page 1 only.
• Proofread & edit your essay thoroughly before submitting it via Safe Assign. Proofread it by reading it out loud to another person. If you struggle with your writing ability, please let me know NOW. I will assist you. Note: all essays that are not proofread and edited before submission will be returned to you for editing and proofreading. PLEASE proofread your essays.
• DO NOT COPY AND PASTE any Internet source WORD for WORD. That is called plagiarism. Read the source, and then summarize what you want to say IN YOUR OWN WORDS. I don’t care if you cite the source; unless you use quotation marks, you may NOT copy anyone’s work WORD FOR WORD.
• Review my grammar notes posted on Blackboard under the Grammar tab. Try not to make these mistakes in your essays.
• Follow my outline below: Follow this outline and use this website for your research: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/245365.pdf for foreign countries and http://www.polarisproject.org/what-we-do/policy-advocacy/national-policy/state-ratings-on-human-trafficking-laws for states.
