Final Stats Papet

Final Stats Paper
The final paper provides you with an opportunity to integrate and reflect on what you have learned in this course. The question to address is: “What have you learned about statistics?” In developing your paper, you must discuss the application of each of the course elements that we’ve discussed throughout the course. These elements are: descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, hypothesis development and testing, selection of variables or bivariate measures of association, and multivariate techniques.
Next, you will select an article published in the last 10 years in a social science journal that reports the results of a study. This article must be quantitative, again, having a results section with statistical analyses. Examples of appropriate journals are Crime and Delinquency, Justice Quarterly, Child Abuse and Neglect, Criminology, American Journal of Sociology, Sociological Quarterly, Journal of Marriage and Family, Gender and Society, and similar journals. You can go to uhd.edu, libraries, databases and periodicals to look for your article. I like using JSTOR. If you do not use a peer-reviewed article, you will automatically receive a 0.
You will then incorporate the article into your paper. For example, you will discuss descriptive statistics (from what you’ve learned in the course) and then you will use the article and list an example of its descriptive statistics. This will allow you to take what you’ve learned and apply it to a journal article.
The final paper must be 5-7 pages in length, which does not include the title page and reference page. This assignment is worth 200 points. My advice is to start early on the paper and write it as you go along each week and the information is “fresh” in your head. This assignment will be turned in using Turnitin.com. The assignment must be APA format and the Turnitin percentage should be no more than 25% or points will be deducted
