This assignment focuses on the new institutional perspective and its influence on the moral standards of agencies with the primary role of working with people. The new institutional perspective is an implicit norm that supports efforts to classify people in order to develop moral judgments about their needs and laws and regulations to enforce related standards for providing their services. The standards are developed and adopted by different boards and law makers to address what have been determined to be the needs of the people which human services workers serve.
