With our ever changing economy in organizational restructurings, employees are becoming increasingly concerned regarding employee benefits including Health Care and Family Medical Leave Act/FMLA.

For this thread please complete the following:

1.Please locate one scholarly professional or academic article addressing how organizations are approaching employee benefits in a changing environment. This article could include: the Affordable Care Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Benefits and Compensation, Life Insurance, or other benefit related issues. Please cite your sources accordingly. AND

2.Please provide a practical example of an employee benefits issue. The purpose of this discussion is not for political purposes or ranting about employee benefits, but for an academic discussion of how to intelligently approach the issue.

To receive a passing grade each post should be a minimum of 200 words in length, demonstrating thought and integration of key concepts. Consider all of the information both internal and external an organization must consider when developing and planning an employee benefits plan. What information is the most important to this planning process? Which might be the least important consideration? Conduct research into this problem and cite your reasoning.
