Employee Benefits

With our ever changing economy in organizational restructurings, employees are becoming increasingly concerned regarding employee benefits including Health Care and Family Medical Leave Act/FMLA.

For this thread please complete the following:

1.Please locate one scholarly professional or academic article addressing how organizations are approaching employee benefits in a changing environment. This article could include: the Affordable Care Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Benefits and Compensation, Life Insurance, or other benefit related issues. Please cite your sources accordingly. AND

2.Please provide a practical example of an employee benefits issue. The purpose of this discussion is not for political purposes or ranting about employee benefits, but for an academic discussion of how to intelligently approach the issue.

It is important to cite your sources that you use, reference, quote, or paraphrase. Please include a Reference or Work Cited section containing the full properly formatted citation.

To receive a passing grade each post should be a minimum of 200 words in length, demonstrating thought and integration of key concepts. Your response should be supported with relevant background sources, which must be properly cited & referenced. During the second week you should respond to at least one other student with a post of similar length and quality as your initial post.

Employee Benefits

Consider all of the information both internal and external an organization must consider when developing and planning an employee benefits plan. What information is the most important to this planning process? Which might be the least important consideration? Conduct research into this problem and cite your reasoning.

Submit as MS Word

Please support your ideas, arguments, and opinions with independent research, include at least three (3) supporting references or sources (NOT Wikipedia, unknown, or anonymous sources), format your work in proper APA format, include a cover page, an abstract, a reference section, and in addition a minimum of 5 FULL pages of written content. Double space all work, and cite all listed references properly in text in accordance with the 6th edition of the APA manual, chapters 6 & 7.
