After studying 20C Western art in class, visiting Mathaf, and writing your essay on a piece from their collection, what general connections do you see between modern art of the West and the Arab world? Also list at least one connection w/western modernism SPECIFIC to the pice from Mathaf you wrote about in your essay.
2. Discuss the political dimensions of the Mathaf piece you wrote about in your essay. *Remember “the political” can encompass issues of identity, nationalism, etc…
