Read all three articles and answer the following questions.

There are three articles I uploaded for you to read in preparation for this writing: Bill Clinton’s 1997 Inaugural Address, George W. Bush’s Axis of Evil speech and The Washington Post’s article on the rise of Donald Trump.

After reading all three, answer the following questions:

1. What do you see as the major issues addressed by Clinton and by Bush? What in the respective speeches makes you believe the issues chosen are the biggest? (Note: You don’t have to discuss all of the issues addressed. Pick out 2 or 3 of what you see are the biggest ones.)

2. These speeches occurred five years apart. Based on the readings, what can you surmise about what changed in terms of political priorities in the United States?

3. After reading The Washington Post article on Donald Trump, do you believe the author is correct in explaining the rise of this candidate? Why or why not?
