i just need a description of the concert, the program of the concert is upload in a file and this is the ways that the teacher want.
You MUST do the following to gain ANY credit for concert performance attendance :
Attend the ENTIRE concert.
Type up your report on the ENTIRE concert as if you were describing it to another musician or informed listener.
Comment about the MUSIC almost exclusively.
Turn in your program and ticket stub (stapled) with your name on them to me in class on the due date.
Length of Papers: 2-3 pages only. 5 points will be deducted from the total score if the paper is less than 2 full pages or more than 3 full pages.
Papers must by typed, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, New Times Roman or Helvetica.
Submit only one attachment. Make sure your paper is attached BEFORE your hit submit.
Only use file type: PDF
Always include file extension.
REPORTS SUBMITTED WITHOUT TURNING IN YOUR ORIGINAL PROGRAM AND TICKET* WILL NOT BE GRADED AND WILL RESULT IN A “0” FOR THE CONCERT REPORT.
TICKETS AND PROGRAMS SUBMITTED WITHOUT A PAPER WILL ALSO RESULT IN A “0”
Photocopies of ticket stubs and/or programs will not be accepted. *Some concerts are free and won’t have a ticket. In those cases only the program must be turned in.
All reports MUST be submitted online through SAKAI (no exceptions). Reports submitted in any other manner WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Paper Details:
Papers must be submitted via SAKAI as a PDF only.
No Re-writes.
Paper will consist of the following:
one introduction paragraph
one paragraph per piece on the program (exceptions apply)
one conclusion paragraph.
A paper will typically consist of 6-9 paragraphs.
A clear and concise approach is preferred as long as all important points are covered and the Rubric is followed. It is expected that concert reports will improve in quality as the semester progresses. When writing, reference the Student Academic Conduct Policy and suggestions to avoid plagiarism (below).
