Compiling an Annotated Bibliography:
To annotate means to make notes about the source for others. The focus of your notes should include the focus of the source, its strengths and weaknesses. You might explain what the reader will find and what the reader of the source will not find. You do annotated bibs for the goodwill of other scholars so that they will know if a source you list will serve their own research well.

Put together at least 8 sources related to your topic and the research project. Use MLA documentation. You can review the mycomplab links and the MLA Documentation Link in the left margin (near the top). You should use scholarly articles from peer review sources and books. Some sources off the web are permissible as well, but not all. Consult with me if you’re taking some sources from the web. You can find a sample of an annotated source on page101. To view a regular bibliography, view page 132 in our Sirius textbook.
This assignment is worth 200 points. It will be due Sunday, July 31 at Midnight, EST. Do get started on this immediately…as it may take you some time to complete it.
50% of the grade will be on your annotations, so detail them and 40% on your MLA mechanics, and 10% on your neat presentation.
(see page 24 for a Works Cited page example).
