2. The assignment is asking you to write an essay that discusses the five communicator strategies (I’ll list here):

• Communicator Strategy – your communicator strategy needs to include general, action, and communication objectives.

• Audience Strategy – your audience strategy needs to reflect consideration of those who will be listening to your presentation.

• Message Strategy – correctly define your message strategy as “direct” or “indirect” and present your reasons for this choice.

• Channel Choice – correctly and thoroughly explain your channel choice.

• Culture Strategy – address all issues which may stem from the diversity present in your audience and explain how you will adjust your message to meet the needs of your audience.

I want you to write each strategy response in a separate paragraph – meaning, your first paragraph should address “Communicator Strategy” and your second paragraph should discuss “Audience Strategy”… and so on. This will help provide clarity as I review your work.

The scenario to describe in your responses is found in the LP1 Learning Activities (#3): Case Study Scenario: The company you work for has just announced that it intends to sign on 20 new clients each month for the next six months. You are a manager in this company and need to communicate this change in a way so that employees will be aligned with the upcoming changes. Your employees include both men and women, ages 32 – 67 and include African-Americans, Caucasians and Native Americans.

Therefore, your essay should address the above scenario and explain how you would use each strategy (also listed above). When grading I am mostly interested in your content – how you address the chapter readings. I am less worried about format/mechanical items. However, you should still place focus on proofreading and format of course.
