Works Cited Page is required since you will be quoting and paraphrasing at least one scholarly source (the text you are analyzing).
*Helpful Hint-Analysis in literature focuses on the effect on the audience and/or text whether actual or intended.
Prompt: Write an essay in which you choose 2-4 elements or characteristics of literature (faith, knowledge, thought, feeling, empire, money, manners, satire, or theatrics) from the Restoration and 18th Century and analyze their function or effectiveness in one or more of the works we have studied in class.
