What is the difference between point-slope form and slope intercept form?

Point-slope form is written ##(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1) ## and slope intercept form is written ##y=mx+b##.

m= slope b= y-intercept

Example: Say you have a point ##(3,2)## and a slope of ##7## and need to write the equation of the line.

Answer: Point-slope form: ##(y-2)=7(x-3)## Slope intercept form: ##y=7x-19##

Transition from point-slope to slope intercept (work): ##(y-2)=7(x-3)## ##(y-2)=7x-21## ##y=7x-19##
