The purpose of this essay is for you to critically review the literature on talent management by discussing the following:

Various authors (e.g., Lepak & Snell, 2002*; Boudreau & Ramstad, 2006) argue that not all roles are equally valuable and that organisations need to differentiate their Talent Management practices to reflect this.

Define what talent differentiation/segmentation is and discuss the potential benefits and risks associated with it

Your answer will need to be 1500 words in length. See the attached CRA for details on marking criteria. Make sure that you clearly take a position by stating whether you agree or disagree with the above statement. Use the literature review to substantiate your view point.

How can organizations be socially responsible in their talent management practices? Consider all of the topics addressed in this course and address what organizations can do, if anything, to be socially responsible their processes. Provide at least two examples from existing organizations. Discuss benefits to the organization and community of a socially responsible organization.
