Coffee Shop

Executive Summary
Rouge Café will be a coffee shop in Kansas
City. The cafeteria will be situated in the CBD of the city where many other
businesses are being run. The café will provide sensualist coffees, espresso, and drip coffee. The company’s strategy to its success will be its aptitude to make better quality coffee brands. The café will train its newly employed baristas to attain this. Due to its small size, the restaurant will take delight in the biggest boundaries. Baristas and other employers will be hand selected and then trained to serve the customers best.
Description of the Product
Rouge Café will make specialized roasted
coffees with such diversities and different tastes and flavors to meet the
customers’ demands and desires. The coffee will be brewed with modern
technology to bring out the best quality taste. The shop will also sell other
pastries to be eaten with the coffee according to customers’ preferences. The pastries will include rolls, hot dogs, bread, scones, cakes and muffins that will be delivered by fresh bakeries.
Why It Is a Good Business
First, there is an accessible entrance to
the market of new ventures. Coffee shops or business tend to thrive if well
managed. Secondly, there are other coffee shops in Kansas that do not meet the customers’ demand. Investing in this market will enable the company to gain its competitive advantage if they meet customer satisfaction. Customers will be able to choose the alternatives to the already existing coffee shops. Also, it is a good business because when it comes to coffee breweries, the best always sells and vice versa. It does not matter whether there are already well-established coffee shops around the city. Once Rouge Café prepares the best, it will gain
its competitive advantage. Last but not least, customers and suppliers power gives a great opportunity for this kind of businesses to develop (Baskerville,
2012).
Technology to Be Used
Rouge Cafe will be using the Point of Sale
(POS) technology to conducts its customer operations and for sales review. It will also employ the use of merchant processor to charge any leading debit or credit card. It will also adopt the technology of online ordering where customers will be able to order for drinks online and be served at their comfort zones; this will increase its sales (Bookkeeping Express, 2016). The best time to start this business will be during the winter when people
regularly frequent coffee shops.
Market Information
Kansas is a very busy city. Many people
live and work in this city. The CBD is characterized by many organizations and enterprises that are run 24/7. The city offers market to many businesses due to its busy nature and the large population of people within the town. The target market for Rouge Café will be the three top groups living and working in the location of the premise. Many of the people working in town do not eat or drink at the biggest and high-end hotels. Rouge will offer excellent services to these people as the products will be friendly to their pockets. The competition will mainly come from Roastery Café, Take Five Coffee Bar, Homer’s Coffee House, and Morning Glory Espresso. Those who love coffee are always willing to pay any amount for the best-brewed coffee. Rouge will charge its brands at an
affordable price of $ 5 to $ 7 depending on the brand. The market trend will include exclusive products, puzzles, games, mind benders and other events that will attract the customers to the coffee shop (First Business plans, 2016).
Personnel and Skills
Rouge café will employ one manager, six
baristas and three waiters and waitresses for the first year. Depending on the sales and the progress of the business, it will hire more personnel if need be. The employees will be hand selected and trained by professionals.
One-Year Projected Cost
