ISBN-10: 0-13-345723-0 ISBN-13: 978-0-13-345723-0Global Enterprise Topic(s) PresentationsThe purpose of these individual presentation assignments is to help you think critically about, applyclass concepts to real world situations, expand upon, integrate and apply the concepts and issuescovered in the readings to business and management situations, and stimulate class discussions andactive participation.Your presentation must expand upon and enhance the information covered in the textbook readingsand/or demonstrate or critically review a real world business and/or management applicationof the issues and concepts covered in the readings for that week.Presentation ContentOnly 33% (1/3) of the content in each presentation may come from the course textbook.At least 67% (2/3) of the content in each presentation must come from other sources outsidethe textbook for this course.If a presentation slide contains any content from the course textbook it will count towards the33% (1/3) maximum allowed.If you chose to demonstrate or critically review a real world business application of thetextbook readings, the case or information you select cannot be older than 5 years ago.Students need to clearly indicate which issues and topics in the reading were further enhanced orclarified by the material included in their presentations. All Presentations MUST be related to andexpand upon and/or apply KEY topics and issues being covered in class and in the readings forthat particular week, must be interesting and engaging, and must substantively contribute to thecourse subject matter and classroom discussions.Presentation Topic(s) SelectionTopic(s) selection process will be explained in Class-1. Take good notes! Students cannot presenton the same or very similar topic(s) as another student. First student to pick a topic has priority.Presentation Key RequirementsAll presentations should be in PowerPoint and must make extensive use of visual aids,graphs, pictures, graphics, charts, screen shots, and images. At least 12 slides of content mustinclude visually complementary graphics, charts, or images. (The Title, Questions, andReferences slides are not considered content slides!)Presentations should contain between 12 -to- 20 slides of content in length (excluding Title,Questions, and References slides). Do not go over the 20 content (analysis) slides maximum,or submit less than 12 slides of content (analysis) required.Your presentations must be professional, organized, make use complementary visualsupportive materials, be properly paced, and well-rehearsed.The background of a presentation slide does not count as a visual or graphical element. Itsthe graphics, images, charts, etc. that you research, find, and/or create that count.Each presentation slide must cite in APA in-text citation format (in the lower right-handcorner of each slide) the source of the content on each slide.1 Cover slide + 12-20 Content slides + 1 Questions slide + 1 References List slidePresentation Time (7-10 min)Each presentation must last approximately 7-10 minutes in length. Presentation time must beat least 7 minutes long, but cannot go past 10 minutes.Be prepared to be interrupted and answer questions during the presentation. This oftenindicates how well you rehearsed and prepared.Professional and Well-Rehearsed PresentationPreparation and polish are key! You should come prepared and ready to present a brief andinteresting summary.You must be very familiar with the presentation information and comfortable presenting thecontent to the class. Rehearse your presentation at least 3-4 times to insure you know thematerial very well.Please do not read and look constantly at your notes or slides when presenting to the classbut maintain eye contact with the class and stay focused on your audience.Questions Slide Two (2) Questions for the ClassYou must end the presentation by presenting 2 topic-related questions to your classmates togenerate class discussions. Be prepared to address questions and continue the discussion on thetopic(s) you have selected and keep the discussion going with the entire class and your instructor.Upload to Moodle by Stated DeadlineAll Presentation files must also be uploaded in Moodle in the corresponding Assignment area foreach presentation.
