The student will be able to:

? Identify incidents of waste in a case and prescribe one or more methods to reduce or eliminate waste.
Assessment Problem:
Read the Quality Parts case at the end of Chapter 13 (Lean and Sustainable Supply Chains) and answer the following questions:
a) Identify the existing and potential sources of waste in the case.
b) For one or more of the sources of waste identified in part a) write a one paragraph description of what you would do as Operations Manager to reduce or eliminate this waste.
