Concert Critique Guidelines

Your 6-7 page paper should be typed and double spaced using a 12 pt. Times New Roman font and in APA style. Also, your paper should include the Title Page, Main Body, and References (Bibliography). Please omit the Abstract. Include in your Critique the following: 1. Brief overview of composer’s life. Please select a composer from the Classical, Romantic, or Modern period. 2. Concert you attended or rented/viewed and why you chose this concert. Please cite on the Reference page. 3. A minimum of three sources should be used and only one source should come from the internet with the complete address. Please cite sources used both in the body of the paper and on the Reference page. 4. Observations on the physical aspects (lighting design, concert hall, costumes, etc.) and music (style, instrumentation, genre, quality of performance, etc.) with a minimum of ten terms that are underlined or boldfaced to describe the music. 5. Personal observations that describe if you enjoyed the program or not, discoveries, perceptions, and how you listen to music has developed as a result of the course
