Annotated Bibliography
Paper details:
Please read it all and check my last ordered essay ((proposal essay: petroleum engineering)) bacause this annotated bibliography essay is related to that one.

Here is the paper instruction:

Length Requirement: 10 sources (about 3 pages or 1200 words)

This brief document is the next step on your way to the research report. You will use the annotated bibliography to explain the specific sources you’ve found while researching for the final project. You will need to provide annotations for 8 credible sources. At least 4 of these sources should come from scholarly journals or trade publications.

Here’s what each entry should include:
MLA citation: This should look just like an entry on your works cited page.
Brief summary: This should be one or two sentences long and it should sum up the source’s main idea.
Intended audience and use: Who is this source targeted to? How is the source helpful to that audience?
Reliability: Is the source reliable? Is it credible? Why or why not?
Success of the author’s writing: Analyze the tone and the language of the author. Does the writer use clear prose to help the audience understand? Also analyze the assumptions the writer makes. What does he or she already expect you to know? Analyze the overall quality of the argument.
Significance or value of the source for your argument: Will this source actually be helpful to you? Why or why not?

To format your annotation, follow these guidelines:
Start the entry with a properly-formatted (hanging indent) works cited entry.
Single-space the text of your annotation (This is different from most other documents.)
Indent the text of the annotation one-half inch.
Arrange annotations alphabetically (like on your works cited page)
Keep your annotations to about 100-130 words.

Here is a sample annotation for this website

“Climate Impacts in the Northeast.” EPA. 9 Sept 2013. EPA. Web. 28 Oct 2015.
This webpage claims that temperatures across the Northeastern US have risen over the past several decades and it details some of the negative consequences, including impacts on human health, agriculture, forests, and winter recreation. The text is directed towards the average US citizen interested in climate change, particularly in the Northeast. Published by the EPA, this source uses clear footnotes referencing outside sources. The article is written clearly with easy-to-understand sentences, making it accessible. The article also uses clear subheadings. The sections on human health and agriculture are most helpful because these sections are specific to the repercussions of climate change on human populations.

When you turn in the bibliography, I’ll give you some brief feedback. You’ll have the chance to revise this document, if you feel it’s necessary. Revisions are not required for the final portfolio. As I read it, I’ll be looking for these criteria:
Thorough annotations for each source, including summary and analysis
Correct MLA entry
Correct formatting
Meeting minimum requirements
