PART ONE
You are marketing director for the Body Shop, and have been charged with developing a 5 year business strategy to rejuvenate its reputation as a pioneering force in ethical retail and help grow its customer base over the next five years.

1. Company’s Aims/Objectives
2. Strategies
3. Tactics
4. Implementation & Control (include a Gantt chart to show when things will happen over the next 5 years and key milestones)
5. Conclusion (in the conclusion talk about new objectives the company should set out to achieve now that they have achieved the 5).

Note: You should clearly identify who are the ‘customers’ the Body Shop should sell to during the next 5 years. In what areas should products be developed? Are there business areas which should be curtailed/ closed? You should use business models/ theories to illustrate your strategic approach (80% of marks – 2500 words).

PART TWO
Describe, explaining why you chose to use it (relating to the value it brought to your analysis) one business model or theory you used in your strategy and describe, explaining why it was relevant to your work, one model or theory which you considered but rejected from use. You may have rejected it because another model did a better job, or because it was not relevant to your strategic approach (whilst being generally relevant to strategy development in some instances). (20% of marks – 500-800 words).
