The Concept Analysis will be on “Empowerment”
Introduction needs to include:
1. Aim and purpose of the analysis
2. Justify the concept’s significance to nursing – why is empowerment significant to nursing?
Definition of the Concept of Empowerment (This definition is based on the literature review)
1. Describe derivation of definition from common usage and nursing use
2. Describe and cite a variety of appropriate authoritative sources from the literature regarding the nature of the concept of empowerment
3. The definition of empowerment should reflect synthesis and evaluation of definitions from appropriate sources

1. Each attribute should be clearly stated as succinctly as possible
2. Each attribute is logically an essential element of the concept of empowerment as defined above
3. Each attribute is stated in as measureable of a form as the abstractness the concept allows
